Mumbai Police has filed a sexual harassment case against filmmaker Vibhu Agarwal. On the complaint of a woman, a case has been registered against Vibhu under section 354 of IPC. Apart from Vibhu, the country head of his company Anjali Raina has also been made accused. A criminal case was registered against both of them at Amboli police station on August 4. The 28-year-old victim has alleged that she was molested in the storeroom in the office of Vibhu's company ULLU Digital.
Vibhu's film production company ULLU Digital Pvt Ltd produces adult content. However, a few days ago, during an interview, Vibhu Agarwal had talked about changing the content of the ULLU platform to family content. In 2013, Vibhu Agarwal made the film 'Baat Ban Gayi'. He launched the ULLU app in 2018. Apart from Hindi and English, adult content is provided on this app in Bhojpuri, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Gujarati.
On this entire dispute, a statement issued by the company said that ULLU had lodged a complaint against unknown people in the cyber cell of Lucknow Police on June 10 for cheating and demanding a ransom of lakhs of rupees.
In this case, an IP address check revealed that the former legal head of ULLU, a woman and her accomplice were behind the threat. The accused in this case have now made a case against Vibhu Agarwal and Anjali Raina, misusing the law made for women while doing counterattack.
