According to reports, thieves used the scanner to clone the signal of the keyless ignition fob to start the car and within minutes the car was stolen. However, the car was found shortly after it was stolen.
Tom Cruise was travelling in Britain during the shooting with this vehicle. Thousand pounds (British currency) were also kept in this car. Police said the car was fitted with an electronic tracking device. Because of this, it was soon found, but Tom Cruise's bag and some belongings kept in it are missing. The thieves have carried out this theft with the help of hi-tech gears. The car was stolen when it was parked outside the Grand Hotel in Birmingham. It was recovered from nearby Smethwick.
The BMW X7 and BMW 7 Series cars are also in the convoy of Tom Cruise's unit. The Mission Impossible franchise and BMW also have a long history. BMW cars and motorcycles are often featured in the films of this franchise. Tom Cruise shot a scene with a BMW M5 in Rome in October last year. It was also expected that the made in India BMW G 310 GS would also be used for some scenes. Mission Impossible-7, which was stalled for a long time due to the lockdown, is to be released on 27 May 2022.
