Sunny Deol Bungalow Auction: Sunny Deol, the star of 'Gadar 2', is currently the talk of the town with the roaring success of his latest film. The film, which was released in theatres last week, has raked in such substantial earnings in just nine days that it has found a place among Bollywood's highest-grossing films.
Although Sunny Deol was one of the biggest stars in Bollywood in the 90s, he faced struggles in the intervening decades, with many of his films failing to make a significant impact at the box office.
Finally, 'Gadar 2' has brought him the grand success he has been longing for.
However, while Sunny's film is making a killing at the theatres, there is a looming threat to one of his significant real estate properties.
Sunny had taken a substantial loan from the Bank of Baroda, and in exchange, he had mortgaged his Mumbai villa, known as 'Sunny Villa.' Unfortunately, he has not yet repaid the bank the staggering sum of 56 crore rupees.
The bank has decided to auction the property to recover the loan and accumulated interest.
The property auction is scheduled for September 25th, with a reserve price set at 51.43 crore rupees.
Turning to Sunny's film career, 'Gadar 2' has brought his stardom back to the big screen. The film is performing exceptionally well at the box office, crossing the 300 crore mark in just eight days.
Following Saturday's collections, the film's earnings have exceeded 335 crore rupees in just nine days. It is poised to soon join the exclusive 400 crore club for Sunny.
The astounding success of 'Gadar 2' has raised the possibility that it may even challenge Bollywood's biggest film, 'Pathaan,' in terms of earnings.
Sunny's portrayal of Tara Singh in the original 2001 film 'Gadar' is hugely popular, and it seems like the sequel is equally loved by the audience.
