Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 the two-part climax to the fourth season will be released in three weeks. But, due to Netflix's Geeked Week, we finally get our first glimpse. The 22-second Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 teaser trailer if you can call it that, given that half of it appears to be footage from the seven-episode Volume 1 provides us reaction shots of the ensemble cast rather than anything solid about how season 4 will finish.

We will get a proper Trailer in the weeks to come.

“It is over Eleven. You have freed me. You can't stop this now,” Vecna says at the start of the Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 teaser. Meanwhile, we get a variety of quick cuts. Nancy (Natalia Dyer) uses a shotgun. Steve (Joe Keery) hacks at some Upside Down vines to free his friend.

Hopper (David Harbour) stares at some black mass and runs with a gun in another scene. Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) is terrified of the person (or thing?) that casts a shadow over him. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) uses her rekindled powers with her eyes closed. And Vecna does the same in a reverse shot.

Spoilers for the fourth season follow

Vecna used to be One / Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower), the primary test subject of Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), who was brought in after killing most of his family, as revealed in Stranger Things 4 episode 7.

Eleven and One met at Brenner's Hawkins Lab, where they developed a mentor-mentee relationship until the latter liberated the former of the chip in his neck that prevented One from using his talents. Eleven mistakenly sent One into the Upside Down, transforming him into Vecna after One killed every child and adult in the lab to get back at Brenner.

The lone language in the Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 teaser trailer "You have liberated me." is most certainly a reference to that moment, and I expect it to play a role in the events of the last two episodes. Which, by the way, will be lengthy. The finale is massive.

Stranger Things 4 episode 8 "Chapter Eight: Papa" lasts 1 hour and 25 minutes, making it the longest episode in Volume 1, whereas Stranger Things 4 episode 9 "Chapter Nine: The Piggyback" lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. That's longer than most films. The Duffer Brothers created both episodes and directed them.

Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 will be available on Netflix globally on July 1 at 12:30 pm IST/12 am PT.
