Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has paid tribute to Captain Vikram Batra by remembering him on his birth anniversary. September 9 is the birthday of 'Sher Shah', so Siddharth has remembered Captain Vikram by sharing a post on his social media account.
The actor shared a collage on social media along with an emotional post. 'Dear Shershah, he says that those who inspire our lives are always in our hearts. And Captain Vikram Batra, you have influenced our lives immensely with your valor, knowledge, charm, and your love of patriotism. You will always be in our hearts… In your loving memory, Jai Hind.'
Sidharth recently played the role of Captain Vikram Batra in his last film, 'Shershaah', for which he has been applauded by both the audience and critics alike. The role of Vikram Batra is very close to that of Siddharth as his grandfather also served in the Indian Army.
He told in one of his interviews that, "I would have loved to be in the Indian Army like my grandfather, who served the country and fought in the Indo-China war in 1962." Talking further, he says, "I have learned a lot from this film, although I have a little military experience from my grandfather, protocol and discipline is the most important thing in the army."
His rumored girlfriend Kiara Advani was also in the lead role in the film. She played the role of Dimple Cheena in the film. Meanwhile, Sidharth's next film is 'Mission Majnu' in which South's superstar Rashmika Mandanna will be seen with him.
