Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani film 'Shershaah' has been released on Amazon Prime on 12th August, however, the Shershaah movie has been leaked online in HD even before the release. The leaked film has been uploaded by many pirated sites where people can watch it without having to subscribe to Amazon Prime. Due to piracy, the viewership of this film can see a lot of declines. Users can also easily download it from pirated sites.
This is not the first time that a film of a big star has become a victim of piracy. Earlier, digitally released films like Salman Khan's film Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai, Haseena Dilruba, Sherni, Hungama 2 and Mili have also been leaked online due to piracy.
During the release of the film Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai, Salman Khan appealed to his fans and the public not to watch pirated films. The actor said that it takes a lot of hard work to make a film, but due to piracy, he could not get good results from this hard work. In such a situation, the actor requested the fans to see the original copy.
After the release of Radhe, Zee moved the High Court alleging that several pirated copies of the film and various video clips were being circulated to the public at large for unauthorized viewing, download and storage. In this case, the court had directed WhatsApp and other social media platforms to suspend, terminate and permanently delete the accounts of those selling pirated copies of the film. It also directed internet service providers to share subscriber details of criminals with Zee so that legal action could be taken against them.
Let us inform you that the film Shershaah, released on Amazon Prime, is the story of Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra, in whose role Siddharth Malhotra is going to be seen. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the film is produced by Dharma Productions and Kash Entertainment.
