Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani, who were out on bail for their alleged involvement in the Sandalwood drug scandal, are once again in trouble. It has been confirmed in FSL tests that actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani had taken drugs. Sources claim that the results of urine and blood tests were not conclusive. That's why CCB took hair samples of both and sent them to FSL in Hyderabad in October 2020.
Officials said that for the first time in the Sandalwood drug case, hair follicles have been used in the investigation as the presence of the drug in the hair can be detected for a year. Due to the latest developments, their bail is now in danger. According to reports, if both Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani are found guilty of drug abuse, they may face rigorous imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to Rs 20,000.
Nine months ago, samples of nails and urine were sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory. The Bengaluru Police had arrested Sanjana Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi in September 2020. Sanjana was granted bail in December 2020. Ragini Dwivedi was granted bail by the Supreme Court in January 2021 after her bail plea was rejected by the Karnataka High Court.
These men, arrested by the Bengaluru Police, are part of a network that organizes parties in hotels, pubs, resorts and farmhouses. At these parties, the guests were supplied with drugs imported from different parts of the country. Bengaluru Crime Branch arrested 13 people including two actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana from the Kannada film industry. Vivek Oberoi's brother-in-law Aditya Alva is also wanted in this case.
