The father of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede, who came into the limelight after the investigation of Aryan Khan drugs case, has once again filed a complaint against the minister in the Maharashtra government and senior NCP leader Nawab Malik from the Bombay High Court. Sameer Wankhede's father Gyandev Wankhede has accused Nawab Malik of making remarks against his family.
Earlier, Nawab Malik had assured not to make any comment on the Wankhede family till the High Court's decision. It is worth mentioning that Samir Wankhede was accused of extortion in the drugs case on behalf of Maharashtra government minister Nawab Malik. Along with this, he also accused Sameer Wankhede of getting a job through a fake certificate. Nawab Malik had also alleged that Sameer Wankhede wears priceless watches, clothes and shoes. He had also raised questions on him regarding the property.
Earlier, NCB Regional Director Samir Wankhede on Monday called on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar visited his memorial on his death anniversary. Subsequently, Wankhede told reporters that he was inspired by Ambedkar to "fight for the truth" and expressed confidence of winning it, while speaking to a news channel, Malik said without naming Wankhede that It is because of the fight waged by him that "some people" have started coming to 'Chaitya Bhoomi', where Ambedkar was cremated.
In October this year, Wankhede had raided a cruise ship and claimed that narcotics were seized from the ship. Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan and some others are accused in this case. After the raid, Malik had leveled several allegations against Wankhede, in which he said that the NCB officer was a Muslim by birth and produced a fake certificate to get a government job. He had claimed that Wankhede did not belong to the Scheduled Castes. Wankhede had denied these allegations.
Wankhede on Monday paid tribute to Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and social reformer, at the memorial 'Chaitya Bhoomi' located in Dadar area. The NCB official later told reporters, "Babasaheb (Ambedkar) is our inspiration. Today will encourage us in our ongoing 'Sangharsh' (fight). I have come here (at Chaityabhoomi) on his death anniversary…his ideology has a great influence on me. He is the only inspiration."
