The actress was interested in acting since childhood, due to which she started acting at an early age. Today, on the special occasion of the birthday of the actress, let us know, how were some special things related to Sadhana-

Born on 2 September 1941 in Karachi, British India, Sadhana Shivdasani belonged to a Sindhi family. At the time of the partition of India-Pakistan, Sadhna's family had settled in Mumbai. Father named her Sadhna Shivdasani after his favorite actress and singer Sadhna Bose. Actress Babita was the daughter of her father's younger brother Hari Shivdasani. While playing in college, Sadhana was noticed by a producer who signed her in his film Abana by paying Re 1. Abana was India's first Sindhi film, which was released in the year 1958.

Sadhana was always interested in acting, due to which her father got her to work in a song in Raj Kapoor's film Shree 420 (1955) at the age of just 15. The songs of this film were among the girls who sang in the chorus in Mud-Mud Ke Na Dekh. Sadhna's role in this song was so small that no one could see her.

The actress got entangled with Raj Kapoor in the very first film

Sadhana, who appeared in the songs of Shree 420, may have a small role, although the actress always wanted to look perfect. During the shooting, Sadhana used to constantly groom her hair. Due to which she was reprimanded by the director, producer, and actor Raj Kapoor of the film. Sadhna also got angry at Raj's interruption and an argument broke out between the two. At that time, both Sadhana and Raj had no idea how famous their hairstyle was going to be in the future. The debate between the two was the reason due to which Sadhana was always angry with Raj. Let us tell you that Raj Kapoor was the father-in-law of Sadhana's cousin Babita, who married Randhir Kapoor.

Sadhana became a star overnight with Love in Shimla

A picture of Sadhana from Shree 420 appeared in Screen Movie magazine, which caught the eye of the popular filmmaker of the time, Shashadhar Mukherjee. After this Sadhana joined his acting school where he got RK Nayyar's film Love in Shimla.

RK Nayyar designed Sadhana's trademark look, which was inspired by Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn. The film Love in Shimla, released in 1960, was a super hit film, after its release, Sadhna became an overnight star. Her hairstyle shown in the film became so popular that it was named Sadhna Cut. After this, the actress never looked back. In her acting career, Sadhana has given excellent films like Hum Both, Asli-Nakali, Woh Kaun Thi, Arzoo, Waqt, Saya, Anita, Intakam, Rajkumar, Satya, Ek Phool Do Mali.

Sadhana married Ram Krishna Nayyar, director of her first hit film Love in Shimla, in 1966. Both came close during the shooting of the film. Sadhana was only 18 years old at that time, due to which the family was against the relationship of both. But despite this, both got married. Sadhna's husband RK Nayyar died of asthma after 30 years of marriage. The couple did not have any children.

In the year 2014, the condition of the actress had deteriorated due to which she had to undergo surgery. A year later, on 25 December 2015, Sadhana Shivdasani died. The actress was taken to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai due to a high fever, where she breathed her last.
