Following quite a while of hypotheses, actor Robert Pattinson has been authoritatively affirmed to play the DC superhero  Batman. 

Different names skimming for the job in "The Batman" included Armie Hammer, Nicholas Hoult, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, yet Warner Bros declared that "Twilight" acclaim actor marked a deal to be a part of the venture.

Pattinson, who is known for his job of a vampire, will be the most youthful on-screen character to play Batman. He is 33. 

Executive Matt Reeves' "The Batman" is relied upon to go on floors this mid-year. Reeves, the producer behind the last two "Planet of the Apes" spin-offs, took over coordinating from Ben Affleck in January 2017.

Affleck featured as Batman in two titles coordinated by Zack Snyder: 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and 2017's "Justice League".

Reeves will deliver the film with his "Planet of the Apes" colleague Dylan Clark.

"The Batman" is slated to release in 2021.
