With the release of Iron Man, Marvels had started its enormous journey in the world of superhero movies, way back in 208. Now when it came to end a huge part of it, there wasn't a better way to end it with the character who marked its beginning.
The infamous last line of the Ironman before he takes his last breath. " I am IronMan" took longer to be decided upon, than expected. The writers wanted one of the most famous charters to say something historical before his death, just the way infamous saying of Thanos, the producers and writers wanted a classic line for Iron Man, however even after endless thoughts, they could not think fo a befitting line.
By the end of which, the editor Jeff Ford Decided to take it a complete circle and end Tony Stark's journey with the exact words he had started with
I AM IRON MAN.
The end scene involves Iron Man taking the stones from Thanos and fit them into his own hand to restore the order of the world.
When the producers had decided upon the fate of their primary character, they weren't so sure of how Robert Downey would take it as they needed his consent too. However, by the end of the day things worked out perfectly and the results of which are pretty evident on the box office with Endgame earning 1.3 Billion in 6 days worldwide.
