Ravi Kishan, who is called the superstar of Bhojpuri films, has turned 52 years old. Born on 17 July 1971 in Bisui village of Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where Ravi has made a different place in Bhojpuri cinema. At the same time, he has left a mark on his acting in Bollywood films as well.
There was a time when Ravi had to leave the house hiding from his father to fulfill his passion for acting. Ravi's father was the priest of the village. Ravi himself admitted during an interview that his father did not want him to become an actor.
According to Ravi, "I used to play women in the village sometimes in Ramlila. Father did not like that the son did drama instead of reading and writing. He thought that the son had become worthless. He could not do anything in life. An angry father would often beat me up because of this.
Ravi ran away after leaving the house at the behest of his mother
Ravi Kishan's full name is Ravi Kishan Shukla. Ravi had told in an interview, "Dad used to get angry with me on small things, used to beat me. Mother often tried to save me, but they would not listen. Once when father beat me fiercely. So the mother said that the son should run away after saving his life. I left the house and reached Mumbai after obeying the mother.
Ravi worked in Bhojpuri films at a time when his career in Hindi films was almost coming to an end. Ravi Kishan signed the Bhojpuri film 'Saiya Hamar' after his failure in Bollywood. The film proved to be a huge hit and Ravi was established as the star of Bhojpuri.
After this, Ravi's relationship with Bhojpuri films went on getting stronger. However, he was also accused at one point in time by Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari that he feels ashamed to consider himself a Bhojpuri actor. Due to the increasing influence of Bhojpuri films, Ravi became active again in Hindi films as well. Ravi Kishan is married and is the father of four children. Ravi's wife's name is Preeti. Ravi lives in Mumbai with his wife and four children (son Reva, daughters Tanishk, Ishita, and Saksham).
