Actress Sherlyn Chopra was summoned for questioning in the soft porn case today. After which the actress reached the property cell office of the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police at 12.15 pm. The actress has also brought some documents with her. At present, his interrogation is going on. Sherlyn had a contract with Armsprime Media, the firm of Raj Kundra, arrested and jailed in a porn case. This contract was to provide pornographic content for certain apps of companies outside India.
Sherlyn also made many allegations against Raj Kundra. According to Sherlyn, Raj Kundra has pushed her into the business of adult films. Raj had asked him to work in adult content. First, a role was offered, then later asked to make adult content. Raj asked her to shoot for his Hotshot app. However, she refused this. Sherlyn also filed an FIR against Raj in April 2021. Raj is in judicial custody for 14 days. He was denied bail by the trial court on July 28.
She had told that Raj Kundra came to her house on 27 March 2019. Sherlyn alleged that Raj started forcing her, while she kept refusing to do so.
Sherlyn told Raj that she does not want to have a relationship with a married man and does not want to mix business with personal life. To which Raj told him that his relationship with his wife Shilpa Shetty is complicated and he is under stress most of the time at home.
Sherlyn was already presented as an accused in the FIR registered against Armsprime in 2020 by the Cyber Cell of Mumbai Police. He was summoned by the Crime Branch on July 26, 2021, to record a statement in the porn film racket case, following which he moved to the Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail. Said in his petition that he feared arrest like Raj Kundra. The court has provided security to Sherlyn against arrest on July 28.
In March 2019, Sherlyn Chopra entered into an agreement with Armsprime, whose founder was Raj Kundra. Sherlyn did not renew the contract with Armsprime as she was not comfortable with the current 50-50 revenue sharing model. He had asked to remove the content on the app after the contract expires, but it is still on the internet.
During the contract, Sherlyn shot some videos for the app. One of them was questioned by the cyber police about a 'chocolate video'. Sherlyn said at that time she had a heated argument with the creative head of Armsprime. The chocolate video was shot at a hotel in Andheri (East). Talking about the video shoot, Chopra said, "She told me to let go of my inhibitions and open up like a Hollywood model."
Sherlyn Chopra told the police that in March 2019, Raj Kundra had sent his business manager to him with the idea of 'The Sherlyn Chopra App'. The business manager had said that the content she uploads on social media is free, but she can earn money from them through a customized app.
He said in his statement that he did not face any legal trouble during the 12 months of his contract with Armsprime and Raj Kundra. So she knew that displaying content of this nature was not legally problematic.
