The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) announced on Thursday that this year, National Cinema Day will be celebrated on October 13th. MAI has declared that on October 13th, film enthusiasts across the country can watch movies in cinemas for just 99 rupees per person.
According to the statement released by MAI, more than 4,000 screens across the country, including PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, and Delite, have joined hands to participate in the National Cinema Day celebration.
According to the statement, "On this special occasion, people of all ages can come together to enjoy a day of cinema and celebrate the success of films at the box office this year."
The association further explained, "We extend heartfelt thanks to all the fans who contributed to this success, and we extend an open invitation to those cinema enthusiasts who have not yet visited theaters."
Last year, National Cinema Day was celebrated on September 23rd. According to MAI, excluding recliners and premium formats, film enthusiasts can watch any show of any film for just 99 rupees on October 13th.
It's worth noting that last year, National Cinema Day was observed on September 23rd, and on that day, 6.5 million people across the country watched movies in cinemas.
