The second episode of much awaited season 8 of Game Of Thrones was aired on 22nd April, and little did the fans know what is in store for them.
As we all know, it was a long awaited moment for the audience from season 2 as we were already aware of the sparkling chemistry between Arya Stark( Maisie Williams) and Gendry(Joe Dempsie).
However, when the sex scene between the two was materialized, it was too much for the viewers to digest. in this particular scene, as Arya goes to Gendry for her weapon, she inquires about the women in his life and gradually the discussion leads to their sex scene.
And this entire scene led to endless of trolls and comments on every social media platform, where the netizens went to an extent of saying that seeing Arya in an intimating scene was no less than seeing their own young daughter doing the same.
A user tweeted that, "When you've been waiting for Gendry and Arya to get together for 4 seasons and it finally happens, but then they start getting naked…"
To which Maisie Williams responded by tweeting that, "If u feel uncomfortable just know that my mother and my step dad and my 2 sisters and my 4 brothers have all probably watched this too ahahakillmeehehe "
Williams had earlier commented on the scene by saying that, when she was first approached for the scene, she thought that the show-runners David Benioff and Dan B Weiss were pulling a "prank" on her.
She also added that, everyone was very respectful on the sets that day. Moreover Benioff and Weiss also let her decide how much nudity will be revealed on the screen.
Overall, the crew thought that it would be a new thing, as Arya talks about her fears and the fact that she might not make it out alive, which is very unlikely of her.
