It was a big day for the cast of Game of Thrones as it was time for the world premiere of Game of Thrones Season 8 and the stars made sure that they looked stunning on the Red Carpet.
By the time the Red Carpet event wrapped up, everyone was asking the same question. Where is Lena Headey and why isn't she present at the season 8 premiere?!
It turns out that the ruthless Queen of the Seven Kingdoms is really sick. So sick, that she couldn't fly down to New York to attend the final premiere of Game of Thrones. Lena took to Instagram to share the disappointment of missing the premiere.
She stars as villainous Cersei Lannister in the hit show, the manipulative and malevolent queen who has done everything in her power to maintain her grip on the Iron Throne.
So it stands to reason that she was missed on the red carpet, and her cast members were keen to give her their best as Richard Madden liked the post, while Emilia Clarke wrote: "We love and miss you, mamma. You're here in spirit!"
Any Game of Thrones fan worth their sword knows that when Cersei Lannister bows out of a big event, trouble is sure to follow. However, the decision by Lena Headey to not attend tonight's world premiere of the eighth and final season of the HBO blockbuster has far less sinister origins.
Soon to be followed in a premiere on the other side of the Atlantic in Northern Ireland, where a lot of the show is filmed, tonight's Game of Thrones'shindig is taking over NYC's Radio City Music Hall.
