Previously, actor Aamir Khan stated that the film will be available on streaming sites six months after it was released in theaters. However, the timescale appears to have been shortened, with the film being available online just two months after its August release date.
Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi-language remake of Tom Hanks' iconic comedic movie Forrest Gump, with adjustments to reflect Indian history. Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chauhan from a scenario by Atul Kulkarni.
The delay might be attributable to Laal Singh Chaddha's poor box office performance, which earned Rs. 129.64 crores globally against a budget of Rs. 180 crores. There have been indications of some back-and-forth with Netflix when discussing streaming rights.
Khan allegedly requested an Rs. 150 crore contract with Netflix for digital streaming rights. However, due to the film's dismal performance, which at the time struggled to earn Rs. 50 crore in India, Netflix backed out of the arrangement. The streaming giant first bid roughly Rs. 80-90 crore.

The source reportedly referenced a scheduling shift, with the picture releasing on the platform eight weeks following its theatrical premiere as it is currently.
Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, Manav Vij, and Kim Sharma also appear in the film. Laal Singh Chaddha represents Khan's first comeback to the big screen in four years, following the critical flop that was Thugs of Hindostan in 2018.
