Amidst battling blood cancer, Kirron Kher has returned to work after several months. Kirron is MP from Chandigarh and she inaugurated new oxygen plants through video call. Kirron wrote in her Instagram post, 'Today PM Narendra Modi ji inaugurated oxygen plants all over India from PM Care funds. Chandigarh got 4. I was honoured to inaugurate 2 of them virtually. One @ GMCH 32 & another @ GMCH 48. Also was present @ PGI where HE Gov & Administrator Banwarilal Purohit Ji inaugurated'.
Seeing Kirron returning to work, her husband Anupam Kher wrote, 'Well done'. Kirron's fans are also commenting on her photos and wishing her good luck. One fan wrote, 'Nice to see you back in action. We wish you a long life. Nice to see that you are feeling well'.
The news of Kirron Kher having blood cancer came to the fore on April 1, 2021. Then Anupam Kher issued an official statement on his behalf and son Sikandar. He wrote, "Kiran Kher has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure that she will come out stronger than ever. We are fortunate to have such excellent doctors. She has always been a fighter". Anupam further thanked the fans for praying for Kirron and wrote that she is recovering.
A few months back, the false news of Kirron's death went viral on social media. Refuting this, Anupam had said in one of his statements, "All the news that is going on about Kirron's health is completely wrong. Kirron is absolutely fine. I request people not to spread any negative news like this. Thank you, stay safe."
On November 11 last year, Kirron's left hand was broken after falling in her house in Chandigarh. Then after getting tested it was found that he had multiple myeloma.
