The uproar over Akshay Kumar and Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar's upcoming project Prithviraj is not going away. Akshay Kumar is looking forward to the release of this movie. At the same time, the Karni Sena has demanded that this picture be prohibited. The Allahabad High Court's Lucknow Bench asked the Central Government if the Censor Board had issued a certificate for the release of the film Prithviraj. The court issued this ruling in response to the Karni Sena's PIL, which requested that the film be banned.
The court has now scheduled a hearing on this case for February 2. On a PIL filed by Karni Sena Vice President Sangeeta Singh, Justice AR Masoodi and Justice NK Johri issued the decision.

The petition calls for the film to be banned, claiming that it depicts an inaccurate and filthy picture of Prithviraj. People's feelings have been harmed as a result of this. The Karni Sena has already spoken out against the Bollywood flick. Previously, the Karni Sena had expressed strong opposition to Deepika Padukone's, Ranveer Singh's, and Shahid Kapoor's film Padmavat. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the film, and Karni Sena performed outside every theatre on the day of its premiere. When it comes to the film Prithviraj, Manushi Chillar will star with Akshay Kumar. Manushi is making her Bollywood debut with this movie.

The film's teaser was released, and it received a positive reception. 'Prithviraj was a legend,' Akshay remarked at the teaser's release. He was our country's most brave and magnificent ruler. This film is directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj. The film was originally intended to be released on January 21, this year, however owing to Covid, the release date has been pushed back.
