In such a situation, Makkal Needhi Maiam president and actor Kamal Haasan has also reacted to this. During a press conference in Chennai, Kamal said, 'The youth must question those who are in power. If their questions are pressed, it puts democracy in danger. On the Jamia case, Kamal said, "These kinds of situations cause worry, it is like a warning and such situations keep happening."

Keeping his point, Kamal further said, 'You don't have to be a student to raise a question. I am a permanent student in this society. The citizenship amendment law differs from party or state. This is a national issue. My fight will continue on the right path and in the right way. We will pursue it legally.' There are constant reactions from the cinema world on the Jamia case. Recently, actress Huma Qureshi has also tweeted on this issue. In one such tweet, she wrote, 'Why don't you just take an axe and start butchering these students ? Order a firing squad ? Aapka zameer hai baki ya marr chuka hai ??' Huma has tweeted this tightly on the police. People are commenting a lot on this tweet of Huma Qureshi and are also giving their feedback.
