Actor Jaideep Ahlawat is overwhelmed by the positive response to the web series 'Patal Lok'. The actor, who played the lead role in the series, says the appreciation "gives him a newfound passion" for future work. In the series, he plays the role of Hathiram Chaudhary, a low-profile police officer in Delhi who has been placed in a high-profile case.
Jaideep said, "When I heard the script of Hathiram's character in 'Patal Lok', I was sure that it was one of the best characters that I had to offer so far. I was overwhelmed by the kind of reactions, that I am getting for my performance."
Hathiram is on the lookout for four criminals – serial killer Vishal, 'Hatgoda Tyagi' (Abhishek Banerjee), Tope 'Chaku' Singh (Jagjit Sandhu), for his unsuccessful attempt to assassinate on Sanjeev Mehra (Neeraj Kabi), a well-known journalist in the series. He pursues them thrillingly and leads them to the dark alleys of India, ie 'Patal Lok'.
The show went live on Amazon Prime Video on May 15.
