Jabalpur: Khajuraho Film Festival will Start from December 5

Khajuraho International Film Festival is going to start on 5th December. On the occasion of the Amrit Festival of Independence, the theme of the International Film Festival, which runs till December 11 in Khajuraho, has been kept as patriotism.

75 films from famous film directors from across the country based on patriotism theme will be screened at this festival. Let us inform you that during the screening of films at the Khajuraho International Film Festival, many well-known film actors, actresses, producers, directors and experts of the country will also be present.

Films produced by local artists will also be screened at the festival

Madhya Pradesh’s Tourism, Culture and Public Relations Principal Secretary Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed that films made by local artists will also be shown during the festival. This festival is being organized under the joint aegis of the Department of Tourism and Culture and the Bundelkhand Development Board.

By organizing the festival, not only the tourists and tourists of the country and abroad will get acquainted with the local culture, archaeological heritage of the state, but local tourism will also get a boost.

Films to be screened in 11 Tapra Talkies this year

Significantly, this is the 7th edition of the Khajuraho International Film Festival. Earlier, films based on many important themes like women empowerment, health and rural development have been screened in 6 editions.

This year, 11 Tapra Talkies will screen films in this festival, which started with the screening of films in a Tapra Talkies built in a rural setting, popular among tourists. Along with this, a permanent auditorium with a capacity of about 175 spectators has been built for the screening of films in Khajuraho.

Cultural programs will also be organized daily during the festival. Opportunities will be provided to local artists in cultural events. Another highlight of the film festival is Kaushal Haat, which will showcase various products made by local artists.

Many big artists including Govinda, Manoj Tiwari will participate in the festival

Chairman of Bundelkhand Development Board and famous actor Raja Bundela told that many films including Bollywood star actors Govinda, Rakhi Sawant, Mallika Sherawat, Manoj Joshi, Anita Nangia, Mr Rohitash Gaur, Kamna Pathak, Manoj Tiwari, Pankaj Dheer, Gulshan Pandey were present at the festival.

Apart from the stars, well-known fight master Ravi Dewan, director Dalip Tahil, Subhash Ghai, Subhash Kapoor, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Anees Bazmee, Sanjay Chahal, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rajkumar Santoshi, Priyadarshan, Laxman Utekar besides industrialist Dilip Raghuvanshi, Ramesh Chandra including many scientists will attend the festival. Seminars are also being organized this year on various topics related to the film. In which eminent film journalists, writers and experts of the country will be discussed.

Health camps will also be organized for the local citizens

Health camps are also being organized for the local citizens during the festival. Necessary counselling will be given to them after conducting tests related to eye, kidney and other major diseases in the camp.

Over the years, the festival has included Shekhar Kapur, Manmohan Shetty, Ramesh Sippy, Jackie Shroff, Kiran Kumar, Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, Tanuja, Anupam Kher, Rahul Rawail, Anurag Basu, Boney Kapoor, Govind Nihalani, Ramesh Taurani, Subhash Ghai and others.

Celebrities like Prahlad Kakkar have participated. Underlining the famous Khajuraho and Panna Tiger Reserves for temples, Shekhar Kapur has given the tag line “Temple Tiger and Tapra Talkies” for the Khajuraho International Film Festival.
