Known for his flamboyant dressing sense every time he is clicked on the camera, Ranveer Singh now fell into serious trouble for going naked in a photoshoot for an International magazine.
A female lawyer has filed a written First Information Report (FIR) against the Bollywood star at Chembur police station citing that the naked photoshoot has severely gone against the sentiments and modesty of women.
Notably, Ranveer Singh posted some pictures of him being naked on his Instagram handle after which these pictures broke the Internet for a while. Some are criticizing him and making memes about him while others are there who are applauding him including his fans and friends from the entertainment industry.
Following this, a woman lawyer, previous journalist, and NGO have filed a separate case against the Padmaavat actor at Chembur Police Station. Police said that woman had demanded a case on the charge of outraging the modesty of women.
Ranveer has been filed under several cases including section 292 which includes (dealing with obscene materials and addressing the issue of public morality and modesty), section 293 (providing obscene objects to young groups), and section 503 (insulting the sentiments and modesty of women by showcasing any word, gesture or any act) along with 67(A) of the Information Technology Act.
However, this isn’t the first time a case has been filed against any actor for a naked photoshoot. In November 2020, actor Milind Soman posted a picture of him running naked on Goa beach on the occasion of his 55th birthday. He was booked by Goa police for spreading the obscenity.
In the same month, model and actor Poonam Pandey and her husband were arrested for a controversial naked photoshoot, a video of which went viral online.
The couple was granted bail after giving a bond of Rs 20,000 each.
