The story of a new form of Sita is coming on the big screen. In Kangana Ranaut's 'Sita-The Incarnation', Sita will be introduced as an arch warrior. Sita will be seen wielding many weapons including archery. This film is completely based on the character of Sita and it has the story of Sita's Swayamvar. Meaning that the role of Ram in this 'Sita' of Kangana will be negligible. Deepika Chikhaliya appeared in a traditional form of Sita in Ramanand Sagar's TV serial 'Ramayana'. But, in 'Sita-The Incarnation', the complete image of Sita will be presented in a different way. From childhood to Swayamvar, the story will be the same. There will be no exile in the film, neither Sita Haran nor Ram-Ravana's war.
Producer Prem Joshi of 'Sita' says that this is probably the first film in which the entire focus is only on Sita. It will have the story of Sita's childhood, youth, gurukul, and swayamvar. Here Sita will be identified as the princess of Mithila. It will be shown in the film that Sita was sent to study in Gurukul. There he learned all the scriptures and weapons. The screenplay of this film is written by V. Vijendra Prasad, the writer of 'Bahubali', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Manikarnika'. The dialogues will be by Manoj Muntashir. The budget for the film is around 150 crores.
Prem Joshi told that Alia Bhatt was the first choice for the lead character of 'Sita'. Narration happened twice with Alia. But, he put a demand that the childhood scenes of Sita should be cut in the film and the scenes of youth should be increased. The makers were not ready for any change in the script. After all, that thing ended there.
Deepika Padukone was the second choice for this character. However, there was no narration with them. But, within that time, the drugs case became controversial. In such an environment, it became difficult to cast Deepika for Sita. Hence, his name was dropped.
Prem Joshi told that Kareena Kapoor was never thought of for this film. Kareena left the film due to non-receipt of 12 crore fees, that controversy is completely wrong. The same makers had approached Kareena for another historical biopic. But, Kareena was not ready for that historical character, so things did not work out.
Historian and writer Dr. Usha Kiran Khan says, there is much such evidence in our texts that Brahmavadini used to run Gargi and Maitreyi ashrams, and girls including Sita used to go to Gurukul. She was a heroine. She used to face any difficulty with courage. Sita used to lift such a bow with her one hand, which was not possible even for the big warriors. She was physically strong enough, or she knew how to lift the bow.
Sita could easily do the difficult task of tying a string on the bow. Seeing this, Father Janak thought that Sita should be married to a mighty warrior only. Mithila was likewise a stronghold of art skills. Apart from warfare, Sita was also an expert in all other arts. Sita was also proficient in cooking. Wherever Ram went, Sita Rasoi is found everywhere.
