After a long time he is making a comeback in comedy films through this film. Akshay says that he does not want to be a part of adult comedy. Because of this, he has not been seen in any comedy film for a long time, because he was constantly being offered similar films.
Akshaye said that while choosing the script, he takes special care that his films are liked by people of all ages. Many people see double meaning jokes as a comedy and he do not want to be a part of it in any way. Significantly, on the occasion of the trailer launch, Akshay had said, 'I wanted to do a neat comedy film but the comedy films that I was offered in the past years were double meaning which you cannot watch with family. I wanted to do a good subject film that was far from such things. This was the reason behind choosing this film. It is a neat and family film which you can watch with your family and close ones.'
Akshaye has also said that it is not necessary to stay in touch with influential people to get work in the industry. About this, he said, 'I do not understand this. That is, if I become part of Karan Johar's ten parties, is it sure that he will cast me in his next film? And if someone wants to cast me and if I refuse to go to Karan's parties, won't he cast me?
