They have requested that the makers of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' be directed to remove the word Kamathipura from the film in their appeal. On Wednesday, the petition will be heard.
It's worth remembering that Mumbai's Kamathipura was once a red-light district. After a few years, however, Kamathi laborers arrived and settled here, and the area came to be known as Kamathipura.
