Bollywood News: Famous art director Nitin Desai committed suicide on Tuesday night. According to Nitin Desai's manager, he hanged himself around 3:30 pm at the ND Studio in Karjat, close to Mumbai.

Nitin Desai was 58 years old. Nitin Desai used to spend most of his time in the studio.

Police sources said that Nitin had gone to the room at 10 pm on Tuesday night. When he did not come out for a long time in the morning, the people present there knocked on the door.

When there was no sound from inside, he looked through the window and found Desai's body hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police have sent the body of Director Desai for postmortem. In the Director Desai case, the police also recorded the statement of 10 people.

Two Reasons for Suicide Came to the Fore

1. Financial Crisis- Maharashtra MLA Mahesh Baldi said that Nitin was struggling with the financial crisis.

2. Medical Problem- Nitin had told Dainik Bhaskar off camera that the medical problems had increased after his daughter's marriage.

13 Days to Prepare the Set of First Project

Director Nitin Desai embarked on his career in 1987 with the TV show 'Tamas,' where he dedicated 13 days and 13 nights on its sets.

Throughout his illustrious career, he showcased his talent by designing sets for notable films such as 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,' 'Devdas,' 'Lagaan,' 'Jodhaa Akbar,' and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.'

His remarkable achievements include receiving the National Film Award for Best Art Direction an impressive 4 times.

In a memorable feat, he created a stunning Sheesh Mahal made of one crore glass pieces for the film 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.'

Notably, director Nitin Desai's ND Studio was the first shooting location for Aamir Khan's film 'Mangal Pandey - The Rising.' His cinematic journey also included a recent appearance in the film 'Panipat.'

Advertising Agency had Accused ND of Cheating

In May, the advertising agency accused Nitin Desai of defrauding him of Rs 51.7 lakh. The agency had told that despite getting the work done for 3 months, the money was not given.
