Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has announced the 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Releasing its poster, he said, "The festival will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28. The festival is considered to be the oldest in Asia and one of the largest international film festivals in India.
The 52nd edition of IFFI will be held in January 2021. Keeping in view the success of the edition, it will be held in a hybrid format. The festival is being organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) as well as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It also includes the support of the State Government of Goa and the Indian film industry. It showcases the best films of the country and the world every year. The competition section has a deadline of August 31. Also this year "Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Cinema" in recognition of the author's legacy. This award will now be given in every upcoming edition of IFFI.
