Neha Kakkar, known as Indian Shakira and Rockstar, is celebrating her 32nd birthday. Neha was born on June 6, 1988 in Rishikesh. Her family was very poor and father used to sell samosas outside daughter Sonu Kakkar's school. For this reason, Neha's sister Sonu was teased by her classmates a lot. Seeing all this, Neha had a desire to do something big since childhood.
To support her father, Neha started singing at the age of four in religious events and in Mata Ke Jagrate, Mata Ki Chowki. From this she used to earn up to Rs 500. After this she participated in the singing reality show 'Indian Idol-2' as a contestant but dropped out. However, she impressed everyone with her singing talent and she also got some projects. She never took any singing training.
In 2008, Neha's debut album 'Neha – The Rockstar' was released, whose music was given by Meet Brothers. She sang many romantic songs in this album. Neha made her Bollywood debut with the film 'Mirabai Not Out' where she was seen singing the chorus. After this Neha sang hit songs in films like 'Yaariyan', 'Queen', 'Gabbar is Back', 'Sanam Re', 'Kapoor and Sons' and became very popular.
Neha has done about 1000 music concerts all over the world. According to reports, she charges around 8 lakh rupees for singing and is one of the highest paid singers.
In 2018, Neha came into limelight due to her breakup with Bollywood actor Himansh Kohli. Both were dating each other for the last few years but then Neha's relationship with 'Yaariyan' actor Himansh broke up.
After this, Neha's pairing with the show's host Aditya Narayan during the singing reality show 'Indian Idol' last year was well-liked. Rumors of the marriage of both of them were also raised as part of the show's strategy. In October 2020, she surprised everyone by marrying singer Rohanpreet Singh.
