Ramanand Sagar-directed historical show Ramayana is being telecast once again due to the lockdown. Ramayana is still receiving a lot of love from people as before. The show has made a record in TRP as soon as it re-telecasted. But do you know veteran actor Mukesh Khanna did not like the Ramayan at all years ago.
Mukesh Khanna revealed this in a conversation with ETimes TV. He said- I want to confess that I never liked the TV show Ramayan. It was as if I belonged to BJP and Ramayan was Congress. Whenever I used to watch Ramayana, I used to think why Ramanand Sagar has made such a slow show. I loved watching the Mahabharata because everything was fast in it.
'I have just started watching the telecast of Ramayan. I was surprised to see the way this show has been made. Ravindra Jain's footstool comes after every scene. It is very relaxing to see this. I get emotional watching some of the scenes of this show. Now I like Ramayan, Arun Govil has done a fantastic job. He caught a smile and did not leave it till the end. The work of Sita, Bharat, Janak, Dasharatha, the entire cast is fantastic.
Let us tell you that, Mukesh Khanna played the role of Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharata. He believes that Ramayan is an emotional subject, while Mahabharata is not. But now he has realised his mistake. He says that Ramanand Sagar took much trouble in showing every small details.
