'Balika Vadhu' actor Shashank Vyas has written a poem on the plight of migrant labourers. Shashank has shared this poem he wrote on Instagram, titled 'Bas Chalte hain'. He has shared a video with pictures of migrant labourers with his voice-over.

Shashank wrote while sharing the video – Bas Chalte Hain! I felt with my heart for the migrant workers and put my thoughts in the poem. Hope you will join it! Jai Hind.

Explaining his feeling behind the poem, he said, "I felt them. I have all the things I need in my AC room, I thought that one person has so many facilities, but the other has nothing." There is no food to eat and no water to drink. I felt pain seeing these deaths. India is our home, we are all part of one big family and we have left a part of that family to walk on the streets."

He continued, "I am questioning humanity. I saw a picture of a son carrying his mother, pregnant wife and children. How can we sit quietly at home without doing anything? I myself felt so helpless to write down this feeling. The question is, why are they on the streets? And why were they not provided transportation even after coming on the streets? What will these children learn? Lack of humanity. I think that these labourers should be convinced that they do not need to panic. They will be provided the facilities needed."
