In Rajasthan, model and actress Payal Rohatgi has been released on Tuesday on bail of Rs 25000. Payal Rohatgi was arrested by the Bundi police on December 15 for her foul remarks on former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on social media. After the arrest, Payal and her partner Sangram Singh had sought help from PM Modi and the Home Ministry on Twitter. Although she did not get any help in the case, her bail plea was also rejected by the court after which she was said to be in jail till December 24. But now she has got bail.
On her arrest, Payal wrote in a tweet- 'I have been arrested by Rajasthan Police for sharing a video on Motilal Nehru. I made that video with information from Google. The freedom to speak is a joke '. In this tweet, she tagged the official Twitter account of Rajasthan Police, PMO, Home Ministry.
It is worth mentioning that Payal was kept in Bundi jail along with women prisoners who have cases like murder, robbery and drug trafficking. Payal was the prisoner number-2616 in the jail records. On Monday, the court sent Payal Rohatgi to judicial custody till December 24. But before that, she got bail on Tuesday.
