Arun Govil, who became famous for playing Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's 1987 TV show Ramayana, is going to be seen again in the role of Shri Ram on the big screen. Arun Govil will play Lord Ram in the sequel of Oh My God. It is worth noting that OMG 2 is being produced by Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar. While Amit Rai is directing it.

Akshay was excited to make Arun as Ram again

Akshay Kumar was very keen to make Arun Govil as Lord Ram in the film. There is no other face more familiar than Arun for the role of Lord Ram. This was a decision that the makers have taken together.

Ramanand was stunned to see the smile

Arun was earlier rejected for the role of Ram. The reason was that Ramanand Sagar did not like his smoking addiction at all. He believed that how could he make a person with such bad habits Ram but Arun assured him that he would give up this habit. Even then, when things did not work out, Arun used his smile in the look test which worked, and Ramanand Sagar was forced to sign him in the role of Ram.

The crew was to leave for Ujjain on October 13 for the shooting of the film. But the shooting has been extended till October 23 after three crew members tested positive for COVID-19.
