On the sets of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi starrer film 'Oh My God 2' (OMG 2), a case of 7 people getting corona infected has come to the fore. Because of this, the makers have stopped its shooting.
Producer Ashwin Varde has clarified about it and told about the whole matter. He said, "The reports which claim that 7 people have been infected with corona on our sets are wrong. Three crew members were found to be corona positive 10 days ago. After this, they were immediately quarantined. They are doing fine. We are in touch with the BMC officials and are informing them about the health of these 3 crew members."
Ashwin Varde further said, "As a film unit, we have followed all the protocols under the Covid-19 rules. We have a Covid-19 sanitization unit on the sets every day, which sanitizes the sets and checks every crew member daily. Each member of the crew is subjected to a lab test once every few days as per the rules. Even, after these three crew members came positive, we immediately tested the rest of the unit, which included about 200 people and all of them had their test reports negative".
Ashwin Varde further said, "I would also like to clarify that the shooting of the film was not stopped in any way due to this sad case. We have completed our Mumbai schedule and we are on a break before going to Ujjain to complete the rest of the film. Our next schedule in Ujjain was to start from October 13".
"After a complete recovery for three crew members, we have now fixed the date of 23 October for the next schedule. Three crew members will complete their 14-day quarantine period on October 17, after which they will be tested again to confirm their negative reports".
Varde also said, "The rest of the crew will also be tested for Covid-19 before leaving for Ujjain for the next schedule of the film (OMG 2 Shooting). In Ujjain too, we have a dedicated COVID testing unit on the sets which will ensure that all the guidelines and protocols are being followed."
