Terrorists carried out a second attack on security forces in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir within 60 hours on Thursday in which two soldiers were martyred. Terrorists are hiding in this area for the last 10 days. These terrorists had infiltrated from the LoC (Line of Control) and were trying to go to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The place where the terrorists have been surrounded is a very dense forest. This area is between Dera Ki Gali to Bafliyas on Mughal Road.

10 soldiers martyred in 10 days

Let us tell you that ten soldiers have been martyred in the last ten days. Five jawans, including a JCO, sacrificed their lives in Poonch on Monday. Two more jawans were martyred in the terrorist attack on Thursday evening. So far this year, terrorists have carried out 103 attacks. 26 civilians and 32 soldiers were martyred in these attacks. Security forces have also succeeded in neutralizing 137 terrorists.

2 soldiers of Uttarakhand martyred

Two Uttarakhand jawans were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Seven jawans have been martyred in encounters with terrorists in the last four days. Defense Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Anand said, "The nation will always be indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice for the nation." Defense spokesman Devendra Anand said that on Thursday evening, an encounter was going on with the terrorists in the forest area of ​​Mendhar in Poonch district. During this, Riflemen Vikram Singh Negi and Yogamber Singh were seriously injured. Both died during treatment.

Search operation continues for terrorists

Colonel Anand said, Rifleman Vikram Singh Negi and Rifleman Yogamber Singh have shown exemplary courage and dedication. "The nation will always be indebted to him for his great dedication to the country," he said. Rifleman Vikram Singh Negi (26) was a resident of Viman village in Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. At the same time, Rifleman Yogamber Singh (27 years) was from Sankri village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The search operation is still going on. The spokesman said that some terrorists had fled during the encounter, which is being sought.
