Elephant “Laden” Being Caught By BJP MLA Padam Hazarika

The wild elephant 'Laden', which was terrorizing the wild areas of Golapara in Assam, was finally caught on Monday. BJP MLA Padam Hazarika played a key role in catching this elephant responsible for the death of five humans. He also fired a dart with his gun to make Laden unconscious.

Sutiya MLA Padam Hazarika became part of the operation by sitting on the back of one of his seven trained elephants. Not only this, he also helped the Forest Department team in finding it. Many people praised Padam Hazarika for this contribution. However, Padam Hazarika said, "We were able to catch the wild elephant due to the blessings of the public and the support of the forest department."

Chief Wildlife Warden requested

Last week, Chief Wildlife Warden TV Reddy requested Hazarika for help. In his letter, Reddy wrote that with the help of the 'valuable experience' of the MLA to deal with 'wild elephants', this campaign can be completed without endangering the life of other elephants and humans.

Elephant caught by noon

Chief Forest Conservator Akashdeep Barua said, "We started an operation to catch the elephant early in the morning and completed it by 12:30 in the afternoon. The elephant caught is under our supervision and is fine. We will try to take him to another place on Tuesday morning.

CM also congratulated

There are plans to send Laden to the Lumding Reserve Forest, 350 km from Golapara. Congratulating Hazarika, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "Sutiya's MLAs who have come forward to help the people who have been living in fear for a long time, have proved to be a true people's representative in the true sense."
