Rajasthan Government Promises for 5% Reservation in Legislative Assembly

Rajasthan Government presented the Rajasthan Backward Classes Amendment Bill to give five percent reservations for five castes including Gujjar in the Assembly today in view of the ongoing movement for reservation. Energy Minister BD Kalla presented this bill. Through this Bill, these five castes will get the benefit of reservation in admission in government jobs and educational institutions.

It is worth mentioning that Gurjar has been agitating from the last 8th February on demand for five percent reservation under which the road was closed for the sixth day after giving a dam on the Delhi-Mumbai railway route near Malarna in Sawimadhapur district of Bharatpur division. Apart from this, the passengers are having problems due to obstruction on many roads. The government tried to talk to the Gurjars but the agitators were not ready to listen to any concrete move, in such a way the Government brought the Amendment Bill.

Meanwhile, Gujjar leaders say that the bill presented by the government will be studied and after this, the decision on the movement will be taken.
