Girls will also be able to study from the upcoming session at Sainik School in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. From next season, 91 girls will be admitted here. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has issued approval for the expenditure of Rs 12 crore on their studies.

Sainik School in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan is one of the oldest Sainik Schools in the country. It was established in 1961 and one of the first five Sainik Schools in the country was opened in Chittorgarh. Classes are conducted here till 12th. Along with this, preparations are also made for admission to the National Defense Academy.

Till now students have been given admission in this school. But recently, in the matter of giving admission to girls in Sainik Schools also, the Ministry of Defense had written a letter to the principals of all Sainik Schools, instructing them to seek consent from the State Governments. The Government of Rajasthan showed a positive attitude in this direction and the Government had also given its consent to the Sainik School Society. After this, the society approved to increase the seats.

The society has increased the number of Adarsh ​​students in Sainik School Chittorgarh from 600 to 700 and has retained 13 percent of the total seats i.e. 91 seats for girls. For the expansion of infrastructure in the school, the principal of Sainik School Chittorgarh sent a proposal of Rs 12 crore to Secondary Education (Sainik School Department) as a recurring expenditure of Rs 11 crore and recurring expenditure of one crore rupees per year.
