Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has started vacating the Government house located in South Mumbai. On Thursday afternoon, a vehicle of Packers and Movers Company reached Varsha, the Chief Minister's official residence located in Malabar Hill area.

According to sources, Fadnavis, a resident of Nagpur, has started looking for a new home for him in Mumbai. His family wants to live here.

His wife Amrita is working in a senior position at Axis Bank and her daughter also wants to pursue the same studies. They came to Mumbai after Fadnavis became Chief Minister in October 2014. Fadnavis, who won from Nagpur South West seat, is the leader of the BJP Legislature Party. In the new assembly, he can become the leader of the opposition.
