Former INLD state president Ashok Arora, former MLA Subhash Goyal Pradeep Chaudhary and former minister Gaganjot Singh left INLD to join Congress.
Former INLD State President Ashok Arora Joins Congress

In the wake of Assembly elections, the Process of moving leaders from one party to another and finding a Political fortress safe for themselves in Haryana politics has intensified. In this episode, former INLD state president Ashok Arora, Former INLD legislator Subhash Goyal from Hansi, former MLA from Kalka and party district president Pradeep Chaudhary including former minister and former INLD MLA from Pihowa. Jaswindra Singh Sandhu's son Gaganjot Singh left INLD and joined Congress.

Apart from this, Jayaprakash an independent MLA from Kalayat, has also joined the Congress. The announcement of these leaders to join the party was made at the Congress headquarters on Sunday evening by National General Secretary in-charge of the party Ghulam Nabi Azad. Azad was accompanied by State President Kumari Selja and former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda.

After the break-up in the Indian National Lok Dal, the process of moving the MLAs, former MLAs and leaders to other parties started with the Lok Sabha elections. Ten party MLAs have joined BJP so far.

Four INLD MLAs are in the newly formed Jananayak Janata Party. A total of 19 INLD MLAs won in 2014, out of which two MLAs, Harichand Middha of Jind and Jasvindra Singh Sandhu of Pihowa, passed away. INLD now has three MLAs, former Leader of Opposition Abhay Singh Chautala, Omprakash and Ved Narang.
