Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for the Maharashtra government, said in the Supreme Court that he would file an affidavit on the petition. No interim order is required in the case. The petition filed by Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP is being heard in the Supreme Court to quash the order of invitation given by the Governor to form Devendra Fadnavis in Maharashtra. A bench of Justice NV Ramana, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Sanjeev Khanna is hearing the case.

On behalf of Maharashtra BJP, Mukul Rohatgi said in the Supreme Court that in this case the Governor has given 14 days for floor test, the appropriate time may be 7 days. The most important thing right now is the process of appointing the pro tem speaker, oath, election of the speaker. The Supreme Court will give its verdict on the Maharashtra case tomorrow at 10.30 am.

On behalf of the Maharashtra BJP, Mukul Rohatgi told the Supreme Court that the Governor of Maharashtra cannot be directed to conduct a floor test within 24 hours. Floor test should not be held tomorrow. The proper time for this is 7 days. NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that it is a fact that BJP did not have a majority and that is why they did not form the government, they also wrote to the Governor initially that they do not have majority and therefore He will not form a government.
