Chief Electoral Officer Anand Kumar said that in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, on May 6, the authorities should complete all the arrangements in 12 parliamentary areas with full sensitivity.

Anand Kumar was discussing preparation made by the Returning Officers of Lok Sabha General Elections, Police Commissioners, Inspector General of Police and Superident of Police in the second phase of the state through video conferencing on Thursday. He said that prior to the departure of the polling parties, they should be given complete information about the electoral process so that they can better edit their work. They also instructed to closely monitor illegal liquor, cash, etc. 48 hours before the close of polling.

He instructed the voting officers to put inappropriate inks on the index finger of the left hand of each voter, apart from voter photo identity card, to give information about 11 alternative documents. He said that necessary directions should be given to the officers not to carry mobile within the polling booths. They should be made available to the voting parties by making a list of ASD (abstention, shifted, dad) so that if any voter comes to the polling station, the officer can get him voted after he completes his investigation.

Chief Electoral Officer has ensured compliance of all the retiring officers, district collectors, Model Code of Conduct, providing copies of voter lists to candidates of recognized political parties, dispatch of voter photo identity card, departing of polling parties, security forces Deployment, webcasting, braille ballot, preparation for voting of EVM-VVPAT, election expenditure Monitoring, information about various IT applications such as C-VISIL, facilitation etc., implementation of sweep activities, voter photo slots, status of printing of alphabetic list, positioning of duplicate copies, and other subjects. He also informed about the distribution of Photo Identity Card, Voter Assistance Manual (Voter Guide) of voters who were added during the continuous update (Continuous Impact) from all the District Election Officers.
