Eight New Cases of Covid-19 Reported in Jharkhand, 41 People Infected so Far

In Jharkhand, eight new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in the last 24 hours, with the number of infected people in the state rising to 41 on Sunday. Officials said that out of eight new cases, six cases have been reported from Ranchi while one each in Dhanbad and Simdega.

Director of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, DK Singh said that the investigation report of seven people came positive on Sunday. On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad Amit Kumar said that a railway trackman was confirmed to be infected with Corona virus on Saturday night. Singh said that two people have died in the state so far, one person died in Ranchi and the other person died in Bokaro.

Railway officials, confirming the contagion of this person, have said that he had gone to his in-laws to visit his pregnant wife in Chas, Bokaro, last month and from there returned to his residence at Railway Colony, Hirapur in Dhanbad on March 26. He said that on returning to Dhanbad, he felt fever and cough, after which he was undergoing treatment at the Divisional Hospital of Railways in Dhanbad. His report was received last night in which he was found infected.
