SSC CGL 2024: This year's SSC CGL exam is being conducted for over 17,000 vacancies. A notice was released some time ago, announcing that a total of 17,727 positions will be filled through this SSC CGL exam.
Candidates must go through multiple levels of examination to secure these positions. The SSC Tier 1 exam will begin on September 9th.
Let's review the essential details and exam pattern once more to help you prepare effectively for the exam.
The Staff Selection Commission's Combined Graduate Level Examination 2024 Tier 1 paper consists of questions from four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
In terms of marking, each section has 25 multiple-choice questions, with each section carrying 50 marks. Therefore, a total of 100 questions are asked, adding up to 200 marks. Candidates are given 60 minutes (one hour) to complete the paper. Those who pass this stage will advance to the next phase, which is Tier 2.
It's important to note that this is a preliminary exam designed primarily for candidate screening. The marks from this exam do not count towards the final score.
Through the SSC CGL exam, candidates are selected for a variety of jobs. Every year, a large number of candidates take this exam, and those who are selected secure positions in various departments of the Central Government.
Candidates are advised to attempt only the questions they are confident about. Incorrect answers will lead to a deduction in marks.
The exam has a negative marking of 0.5 marks, meaning that for each incorrect answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted.
