The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made major changes in the 10th and 12th syllabus for the academic session 2021-22. Under this, the board examinations for the batch of 2021 will be conducted in 2 terms.

CBSE said in the circular issued on Monday that the academic session of 2021-22 has been divided into two terms. 50% of the syllabus will be covered in each term. The first term exam will be held in November-December and the second term in March-April. These term exams will be for 90 minutes. Its notification will be issued this month.

Marksheet will be prepared on the basis of both the term

The board will conduct examinations at the end of each term on the basis of the divided syllabus. The board will prepare the question papers and send them to the schools. The process of evaluation of answer sheets will also be decided by the board itself. These examinations will be conducted under the supervision of centre superintendent and observers sent from outside. The final mark sheet will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the students in the first and second terms.

CBSE has also asked schools to prepare student profiles. Schools will prepare the profile of the students and create a digital format for all the assessments done during the year. The board has said that schools will continue to teach in distance mode until individual teaching in schools is allowed.

CBSE has taken this decision in view of the Corona epidemic. Regarding the plan for the 10th-12th board examinations of 2022, CBSE said that efforts will be made to make internal assessment and project work more reliable and valid. Earlier, the board had also cancelled the 10th-12th examination to be held this year due to Corona.
