Himachal Pradesh cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday at the state guest house Peterhof Shimla under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The cabinet has decided to keep all schools closed till September 4. At present, the government has banned the invitation of students to schools till August 30. Teachers and non-teachers have been instructed to come to schools and conduct online studies. At the same time, regular classes will be held in colleges from September 1. The cabinet has given the approval to fill four thousand posts of teachers. Different categories in the education department on a contract basis.

The status of senior secondary schools

Of these, 1360 posts will be filled in higher education and 2640 posts in the elementary education department. It has been decided to fill up the posts of 810 JBTs. 820 Art Teachers, 870 PETs, 561 College Lecturers, 214 School New Lecturers, 250 JOA (Library). 16 College Archays, including Tabla players and Yoga teachers. It was decided to expedite the batch-wise recruitment to various posts of teachers.

Apart from this, one middle-high school and two high schools in Chamba have been given the status of senior secondary schools. The cabinet has also decided to open Atal Adarsh ​​Vidyalaya in Siraj, the home assembly constituency of the Chief Minister. On the other hand, in the meeting, it has been decided not to impose any restrictions regarding Corona. Corona restrictions already implemented in the state will remain in force.

The cabinet also took these big decisions

The cabinet gave its approval to open a new Industrial Training Institute at Ladaghat in Sadar Tehsil of district Bilaspur. Also, in principle, it has been decided to give the benefit of retirement and death gratuity to the employees of urban local bodies under the new pension scheme. Approval was also given to open Atal Adarsh ​​Vidyalaya at Bagsiad in Siraj Assembly Constituency of Mandi. The Cabinet gave its approval to create four posts of Stenographers through direct recruitment on a contract basis for ADR Centers at Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Reckong Peo, and Nahan.

It was decided to appoint 24 non-residential special training teachers on a contract basis with qualifications equivalent to JBT against the vacant posts of JBT. It was accorded approval to fill 16 posts of different categories for the smooth functioning of these schools along with up-gradation of Government Secondary School Darwin to Government High School and Government High School Lamu and Badgran in District Chamba to Government Senior Secondary School.

Approval was given to upgrade Community Health Center

Approval was accorded to create three posts of different categories along with up-gradation of Primary Health Center Baldhar to 30 bedded capacity Community Health Center in Karsog area of ​​Mandi. Approval was given to upgrade Community Health Center Rakkad in district Kangra to a 24-hour emergency medical institution. The cabinet decided to entrust the work of blood bank, mortuary, bio-medical waste management space, and an additional building for canteen and cafeteria to HSCC in under-construction super specialty block at Chamyana, IGMC Shimla. For this, an MoU will be signed between the Department of Health and Family Welfare and the implementing agency.
