Coronavirus: Joint Army Recruitment in Mathura Postponed for the Second Time

The process of joint army recruitment districts of Agra and Aligarh divisions to be held on March 17 in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh has been postponed once again. To prevent the corona virus, the district administration requested the army to postpone this recruitment process, after which this step has been taken.

According to military sources, applications were sought from the youth of Agra, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Mathura and Firozabad districts under the Agra and Aligarh divisions for the recruitment of soldiers in the army. Sources said that according to the scheduled time, this recruitment process was to begin on March 17 at Eagle Ground in Mathura. For this, 1.21 lakh youths from the six districts applied. The army had also completed preparations.

Mathura district administration had requested the army to postpone it at present. Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sher Singh said, "The government's instructions are not to mobilize in view of the corona virus. Under this, the recruitment of the army has been deferred. We have not yet allowed the army to mobilize candidates in this regard." It was decided to postpone the recruitment on behalf of the army, which was advised.

It is important to note that earlier in February, due to Uttar Pradesh Board examinations and Holi events in the district, military recruitment has been postponed. Then, the recruitment process was to be started for a week from February 6
