The application process for the posts of Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination (RAS) 2021 released by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will start from tomorrow, July 28. Interested candidates for recruitment for RAS to various 988 posts can apply online by 27 August. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the Pre & Main Written Exam and Interview. For this, the syllabus of the pre-exam has also been released.
Out of total 986 posts, 363 posts are of state service and 625 posts are of subordinate services. In-state services, 76 posts of Rajasthan Administrative Service, 77 posts of Rajasthan Police Service, 32 posts of Rajasthan Accounts Service, 33 posts of Rajasthan Cooperative Service, 7 posts of Rajasthan Employment Service, 9 posts of Rajasthan Prison Service, four of Rajasthan Industry Service 4 posts of Rajasthan State Insurance Service, 38 posts of Rajasthan Commercial Service, 6 posts of Rajasthan Food and Citizen Council Service, 4 posts of Rajasthan Tourism Service, 21 posts of Rural Development with Rajasthan Transport Service, one of Rajasthan Women Development Service This recruitment exam will be conducted for 37 posts of one post, Rajasthan Labor Welfare, and 37 posts of Rajasthan Agricultural Marketing Officer.
For the first time reservation for EWS candidates has been implemented in this service in the advertisement issued by the commission. Relaxation in age limit and fee will be given to God's candidates as per rules. The details of their posts have also been released in a separate column.
The first paper of RAS Pre 2021 to be conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission will be on General Knowledge and General Science. The candidate will get three hours to solve this question paper of 200 marks. This information has been given in the exam plan and syllabus released by the commission. There will be only one question paper in the preliminary examination. It will be of objective type and will carry a maximum of 200 marks. The purpose of the exam is to conduct a screening test only.
The standard of the question paper will be of Bachelor's degree level. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by such candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. This paper will have 150 questions of multiple choice type. All questions will be of equal marks. There will be negative marking in the evaluation, with 1/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
