The return of the corona epidemic in the country had a bad effect on the economy during April-May because strict restrictions were imposed in major states to prevent the spread of infection. This slowed down the pace of economic activities. However, the concessions have now started showing improvement.

Economic recovery expected due to improvement in e-way Bill Generation

In May, electronic way (e-way) bill generation under GST had come down to a one-year low. However, this figure seems to be improving in June due to the concessions being given in restrictions from the government. The e-way bill collection in the first 20 days of this month stood at 3.28 crores as against 2.45 crores in the same period in May. That means there has been a positive growth of 34.4% in bill generation.
