There is currently more emphasis on electric bikes and electric cars. In terms of future, the e-vehicle is being seen as an option. But now a shocking report is coming out.

This report says that e-scooters can be hacked. Researchers at the University of Texas at San Antonio (USTA) have spoken about the risk of e-sectors in a research.

Researchers at the same university have said that DDoS (Denial Offer Service) can be attacked on the vendors of micromobility vehicles and data leaks can also occur.

The Computer Science Expert of this university has published the first review paper which describes the privacy risk of E-SCOOTER.

Significantly, the problem is of the software and applications given in e-Scooters, which can be hacked.

Murtuza Jadliwala, Assistant Professor of Department of Computer Science, has said, "We are investigating the potential risks of the micromobility vehicle. In this study, we have found that in addition to safety Concern, there is also cyber security and privacy risk.

Actually, some models of e Scooter have a feature so that users can connect it to their smartphone. A low energy Bluetooth channel is used for this. The data between the rider and the scooter can be intercepted using this channel with the wrong intention.

No high-level hacking is required to intercept this kind of data, but it can also be done with the tool.

Researcher says that population is increasing rapidly in cities and transport is being made better, faster and cheaper due to micromobility.

Researcher has also said that this industry will not only have to think about riders and pedestrian safety, but they also have to keep in mind that the threats of cybersecurity and privacy should not be given to the users.
